This qualification has a core of underpinning knowledge, skills and understanding, and a range of options to reflect the breadth of pathways within the local and national business and enterprise sector. This gives learners the opportunity to: gain a broad understanding and knowledge of a vocational sector, investigate areas of specific business interest, and develop essential skills and attributes valued by employers, further education colleges and higher education institutions. Pupils will be taught a range of highly sought after employability skills such as: Self-management, Working in teams, Respecting others, co-operating, negotiating/persuading, contributing to discussions, Business and customer awareness, Problem-solving, Communication, data analysis, literacy, numeracy and information technology skills.
