We are very proud of our Sixth Form students who have worked hard this year to deliver a great set of A' level and L3 BTEC results much improved on previous years in terms of overall passes, top grades and average points needed to access university.
A number of our subjects are enjoying the best results they have ever achieved, with notable successes in Business, IT, Sport and History.
100% of our students taking vocational courses achieved passes with the number of our students seeing the highest level Distinction* grades growing. Every student who studied a vocational course at Central secured their first choice of university offer.
Progression of students to the next steps of their lives is very important to us at Central and this year has seen a great increase in students successfully applying to university and an increased number of Russell Group offers. Our students have applied to and been able to accept a great range of courses as a consequence of their excellent results. We are that delighted that 100% of our students secured their 1st or insurance offers at the university of their choice.
A number of our students have chosen to access local universities, with two students progressing to Lancaster University. We are proud they are choosing local excellence and expertise as their preference for their future studies.
We wish our leaving Sixth Form students all the very best for their futures and thank all the students for their hard work and lasting contributions to our school community. They have been highly inspiring role models to younger members of our school, showing by example what can be achieved. In addition thanks to their parents for their ongoing support to our school.
