Parents/Students are encouraged to make appointments of any kind outside school hours wherever possible. Where this is not possible, students should be returned to school without delay afterwards. Missing a subsequent session without good reason will be recorded as unauthorised.
Where appointments are unavoidably made during school hours, notification from the appropriate medical body should be brought into the school so that the Attendance Officer can authorise your absence. This notification could be an appointment card or letter from your doctor/dentist etc.
Did you know?
- 90% attendance means one half day absence each week.
- This is equivalent to four weeks over the year and half a year absence over 5 years.
